Living the Dream, 60+a week

scienceClimbing and scraping to get to the end of the week. So many things flying by its hard to keep up with the Jones’. Keep you eyes peeled for some new, fresh (retro inspired) client goodies coming out in the next week or two. Rad client/partners like Ba-Le Bakehouse, ‘Umeke Market, Highway Inn and the recently HH inducted buddies Watt’s Constructors. Good times over here people, feeling like this lady (Brad Elterman you are the man). Feeling free like Robert Plant on a soccer field

Its not a secret that the Humanhand basketball department sanctions the support of the Philly 76′ers. And to our delight they have blown the dust off their original logo. That glossy, craptastic logosludge they were rolling with has been replaced

Get lost here. Really wish other teams would follow suit with the retro recovery project

Who wants a little Monday

mondayYou know its Monday. You woke up with a feeling, a hunch. There it was staring you in the mirror, like a bad hangover. Here at Humanhand we do our best to make Mondays the killer day it can be. With copious amounts of coffee, loud guitars and mouse clicks.

Start it off right with some über rad iphone (sorry Blackblahblah) & comp wallpapers from Typenuts.

Ben Weiner. The guy who’s artwork is gonna ruin your day. So much talent.

On the hi-fi:
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
Bill Callahan - Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle
Dungen - 4

Listen to the sound of a Cold Beer Sorry but its NSFW. Couple F bombs in there.

Friday, aww crap!

thumbFinal day of the week always ends up being the busiest day. How the hell does it happen? Not much time to rant and rave about the finer points of design mockery. Just a few links and thoughts for you.

Photographer Julia Solis is behind the fantastic project “Stages of Decay”, in which she photographs the decaying stages of abandoned theatres, prisons, and schools. - via The Best Part

The NYC just opened the newly minted Highline Park to its denizens. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Fine use of preexisting space. Landscape designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, great job gents

Honda would have us believe we can be as cool as BA Baraka or an extra on Starski & Hutch with this ad. Not a chance Honda, your Odyssey has no bubble window, has no sophisticated surveillance equipment, nor mobile water bed for bedding the womanfolks. In short Honda, yoga moms hated A-Team and the A-Team doesn’t touch married woman. Stick to the Accord, where you are wanted.

pensJust when you thought we were down and out, we come back like Khan (thats a Star Trek 2 joke for the those without a nerd in their life). We got a lot to say about it but before the ink dries all we can say is ‘hot holy hell gaddamn.’ We feel like a $100 bill fresh from the dryer. We will download the entire season 1 of this scoop as soon as we can…

Brooklyn Superhero Supply

supsupplySam Potts, I read about him on twitter (easy on the hash tags skippy) I stare at his sick work on the interwebs quite a lot. This particular morsel of chunky taste really gets me going when I need some inspire in my life. The Brooklyn Super Hero Supply store. Located in the Park Slope, this afront is really one of the famed Eggars reading centers (hell ya thats a NPO peeps). Disguised as a supply store for would be heros, the signage, decor and overall aesthetic is plan toasted nuts in my book.

Sliding into a chair with Mikihiko Kyobashi

mikihiko-kyobashiAt the lab on a Sunday with the sun shining and nothing but angry clouds about it in my head. Hell time to get things did.

Seriously how kick ‘mf’ ass’n is the work of Mikihiko Kyobashi. In one man the art of underwater photography has elevated ten fold. Booking a flight to Samoa just to go swimming dammit. Whos will me?
